ENJOY NATURE WITHIN AN EASY REACH OF THE CITY CENTRE! ♦ ATTRACTIVE FOREST LANDSCAPE ♦ GIANT OLD TREES ♦ SPECIAL ROCK FEATURES ♦ GREAT VIEWS OF THE CAPITAL ♦ STORIES OF THE PAST ♦ TAKE A REFRESHING BREAK !
Within an easy reach of Budapest city centre, there is a different world where nature still dominates, with forest cover and scattered meadows inviting for a walk in the fresh air. Our route takes across this unique land, connecting the most interesting spots and providing scenic views to the capital. The area is also an important nature reserve, designated for its rare plant and animal species, and famous for some rock features and giant old trees that you will see along the route. During the walk, you will also hear stories and see some features of past times of this green periphery of the capital. A short ascent will take to the highest hilltop in Budapest, with a full panorama to the surrounding landscape from the view-tower. Afterwards, you can choose between a challenging downhill walk or a chairlift that provides a comfortable and spectacular return to the foot of the hill.Main sights:
