Come and enjoy a nice summer afternoon on the water, and discover an attractive district of Budapest. The riverbank at Rómaifürdő is situated within an easy reach from the city centre. This is where the tour starts from, following a brief safety instruction. Led by an experienced steersman, you will paddle up to a minor island of the Danube to take a rest in a wonderful landscape setting. The easy part will follow then, down the river, when you can go with the flow! A great fun for all who love active recreation!
Having the trip finished, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy a relaxed evening in some of the open air bars at the riverbank.Main sights:

There is definitely need for some efforts and physical fitness to move the canoe upstream. Comfortably, this would take ca. 2.5-3 hours including breaks as necessary. The other way round will be an easy fun then.Safety
Paddling in a canoe is usually safe. However, rarely it may happen that the canoe capsizes. There will be drybags available to keep your valuables and spare clothes dry in such event.Meeting:
1.30 pm at Rómaifürdő station of the suburban railway (HÉV) No.5 starting from Batthyány tér. Detailed instructions on getting to the location and contact of the guide will be sent via e-mail.(When booking, you can also request a meeting at your hotel.)

Arrival back to the starting point around 7 pm. There are regular suburban train and bus services connecting back to the city centre.Weather conditions
If the trip has to be cancelled due to the weather conditions, you can either choose an alternative date offered or get a full refund of the fee paid. The same applies when the water level is dangerously high.Available:

Canoes, paddles, life jackets and paddles will be provided.
In a sunny weather, we recommend to bring swimming suits, sun cream and hat or cap. On cloudy, colder days get prepared with some warmer clothes.
Please bring some snacks and sufficient drink with you.
There will be no toilet facilities available during the tour.
Not recommended for children under 7, unless parents are experienced in canoeing.
